Exporting and Importing Parallels Client Settings
You can export current Parallels Client settings to a file to have a backup or to transfer the settings to Parallels Client installed on a different computer. The following settings are exported:
- All existing connections including all individual connection properties.
- Parallels Client global options.
To export the current Parallels Client settings to a file:
- Click main menu > Export Settings (File > Export Settings in classic interface).
- In the dialog that opens, click the [...] button to specify a file name and a destination folder.
- If you want to include credentials in the exported settings, select the Include access credentials to the exported connections option. Please note that the resulting file will contain sensitive information.
- Click Save to export the settings. The file is saved with the ".2xc" extension.
To import settings from a file:
- Click main menu > Import Settings (File > Import Settings in classic interface).
- In the dialog that opens, select a ".2xc" file and click Open. Please note that the Parallels Client settings stored in a file will override the current Parallels Client settings.
