Starting the Virtual Machine

There are several ways to start your virtual machine:

• Click Start -> Parallels -> Parallels Desktop -> Use Windows XP . In the opened window, click the Start button or choose Start from the Virtual Machine menu and the virtual machine will start in the Window view mode .
• If you start any program switched to work in the Windows XP virtual machine , the virtual machine will start automatically in the Coherence view mode .

Note : It will take some time (about 2-3 minutes) to launch a program set to work in the Windows XP virtual machine if you launch this program for the first time since you turned on your computer.

To shut down the virtual machine, return it to the Window view mode , and use the standard shutdown procedure for Windows XP or click the Shut Down button in the Parallels Desktop Upgrade to Windows 7 toolbar.
