After the local upgrade , the structure of your files and folders remains untouched.

After the remote transfer from Windows XP to Windows 7, the C:\Documents and Settings folder of your Windows XP computer is merged with the C:\users folder in Windows 7. That means that all its contents is added to the C:\users folder on the Windows 7 computer and is available even when the virtual machine is stopped.

If Windows XP contained more than one disk drive, Parallels Desktop Upgrade to Windows 7 will create a folder for each drive on the C: disk in Windows 7.
