    Specifying Security Settings

The security level controls the encryption of data between the server and Parallels Management Condole. You can choose one of the following security levels:

  • High : All types of data transmitted between the Parallels server and Parallels Management Console are encrypted. This is the most secure level of encryption. Encrypting all data, however, may result in lower transmission rates.
  • Medium . All commands, events, and input data transmitted between the Parallels server and Parallels Management Console are encrypted, while video and device data is not encrypted. Encrypting only the most important data results in higher transmission rates as compared to the high security level.
  • Low (default). Data transmitted between the Parallels server and Parallels Management Console is not encrypted. This security level provides the fastest connection speed, but all data is unsecured and may be intercepted.

After you have set the security level, restart the Parallels Server application to save the changes. To restart the application, you can run the following command on the Parallels server:

# service parallels-server restart
