Disable Command Line for Users

You can enable or disable the Parallels Desktop command line functionality for users who run Windows on their Chromebooks. If command line is enabled, users will be able to use command line tools to manage Parallels Desktop. If it is disabled, no management from the command line is possible.

To enable or disable command line:

  1. In the Google Admin console, navigate to Devices > Chrome devices .
  2. In the drop-down menu at the top select Settings .
  3. On the User & Browser Settings tab, search for the Virtual machines (VMs) and developers section.
  4. Set the Command line access option to Enable VM command line access or Disable VM command line access .
