Like a Mac or like a PC?
When you create a new Windows virtual machine (starting from Windows 2000), you are offered to choose the level of integration between the Windows guest operating system and Mac OS X.
You can choose one of the following integration levels:
-
Like a Mac:
If you choose this integration level,
Shared Profile
will be enabled and your Mac OS X desktop, documents, pictures, music, videos, and downloads folders shared with the Windows guest operating system.
Besides, the virtual machine will be configured to work in
the Coherence view mode
. In this mode, the virtual machine window will be hidden and you will see only the windows of the guest OS applications that are running.
-
Like a PC:
If you choose this integration level, the virtual machine will be configured to work in
the Window view mode
. In this mode, it will be displayed in a separate window.
Your Mac OS X files will not be shared with Windows, however, you will be able to drag and drop files between the host and guest operating systems, as well as copy text.
Note:
You can change the integration level between Windows and Mac OS X after the virtual machine creation in
the
Virtual Machine Configuration
dialog
.
