Configuring the Virtual Machine

This chapter explains how you can edit your virtual machine configuration:

• Configure general parameters (the name, amount of memory, number of processors, etc).
• Edit different virtual machine options (Optimization, Security, Sharing preferences, etc).
• Configure the virtual hardware devices currently available inside the virtual machine and add new devices.

In this chapter, you can also find detailed information about networking in a virtual machine .

The configuration of an existing virtual machine can be changed in the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog. You can open the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog by doing one of the following:

• Click the Configure button on the toolbar of the virtual machine main window.
• Choose Configure from the Virtual Machine menu.
• In the Parallels Virtual Machines list , right-click the virtual machine and choose Configure.
