Managing RAS Templates

RAS Templates are used to automate the creation and deployment of virtual guests in Parallels Remote Application Server. A RAS Template is created as a copy of an existing virtual guest, but cannot be run as a regular virtual guest. You can customize a RAS Template for use with Parallels Remote Application Server and according to your needs. Once a template is ready, you can use it to create virtual guest clones that will inherit all the properties of the template, but are created as normal virtual guests from which you can serve applications, document, desktops, etc. to your Remote Application Server users.

RAS Templates can only be created with the following versions of Windows as a guest OS (no other operating system types are supported):

• Windows XP SP3
• Windows Vista
• Windows 7
• Windows 8
• Windows 10
