Configuring a Virtual Machine

This chapter explains how you can edit your virtual machine configuration:

• configure general parameters (the name, amount of memory, number of processors, etc).
• edit different virtual machine options (the Optimization, Security, Shared Folders preferences, etc).
• configure the virtual hardware devices currently available inside the virtual machine and add new devices.

In this chapter, you can also find detailed information about networking in a virtual machine.

The configuration of an existing virtual machine can be changed in the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog. You can open the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog by doing one of the following:

• Click the Configure button on the toolbar of the virtual machine main window.
• Choose Configure from the Virtual Machine menu.
• In Virtual Machine Directory window, right-click the virtual machine and choose Configure.
