Experience

The Experience tab page allows you to tweak the connection speed to optimize the performance of the connection with the remote computer.

If you are connecting to a remote server on a local network that runs at 100 Mbps or higher, it is usually safe to have all of the experience options turned on. It is also recommended to enable compression to have a more efficient connection.

The Universal printing and Universal scanning options allow to select a compression level for redirected printer or scanner jobs:

  • Compression disable . No compression will be used.
  • Best speed (uses less CPU) . Compression is optimized for speed.
  • Best size (uses less network traffic) . Compression is optimized to minimize the amount of data sent through the network.
  • Based on connection speed . Compression is chosen automatically based on the connection speed.
