CPU SettingsTo view and edit the virtual machine CPU settings, use the CPU pane of the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog.
In the Number of CPUs field, you can set the number of host computer CPUs the virtual machine can use. The maximum allowable number of virtual CPUs depends on the number of physical CPU cores available to the host computer. For example, if you have the Core 2 Duo physical processor, the maximum allowable number of virtual CPUs will be 2. However,in any case, you will not be able to set more than 8 virtual CPUs to a virtual machine. In the Hardware Virtualization field, you can view the type of virtualization technology used by the virtual machine to emulate the hardware.
When you finish, click OK to save the changes and quit the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog. If you do not want to save the changes, click Cancel . |
