Please note that this document does not provide general information on how to use the Parallels Virtualization SDK. For the detailed explanation of how to start using the SDK and how to create your own programs using the provided APIs, please read the Parallels Virtualization SDK Programmer's Guide , which is a companion book to this one.

To understand the material provided in this guide, you should have a basic knowledge of the ANSI C programming language and some experience working with application programming interfaces (API) written in C. You should also be familiar with one of the Parallels virtualization products, such as Parallels Server, Parallels Desktop, or Parallels Workstation.
