Remote PCs

In addition to Terminal Servers and VDI hosts, resources can also be published from a remote PC running a supported version of Windows. A remote PC can be a physical box or a virtual machine treated as a standalone computer, but typically they are physical computers. If you have virtual machines on your network, it makes sense to use them as part of the VDI infrastructure as was described in the VDI Hosts chapter. However, if you don't need the guest VM cloning functionality or if your end users require full administrative permissions for customization, you can use a virtual machine as a remote PC. It's up to you.

This chapter describes how to add and configure a remote PC to a site and how to use it to server published resources to your users.
