Initiates graceful shutdown of the specified virtual machine.

Syntax

PRL_HANDLE PrlVm_ToolsSendShutdown(
    PRL_HANDLE hVm, 
    PRL_GRACEFUL_SHUTDOWN_KIND kind
);

hVm

A handle of type PHT_VIRTUAL_MACHINE identifying the virtual machine.

kind

Specifies the type of the shutdown.

PRL_RESULT. Possible values:

PRL_ERR_INVALID_ARG - invalid handle or null pointer was passed.

PRL_ERR_SUCCESS - function completed successfully.
